Connecticut Homeschool Support Groups

Homeschool support groups in your state are an excellent way to gain more assistance and guidance in your homeschooling endeavors. A regional support group fosters a wonderful sense of community among homeschooling families and allows for more opportunities to exchange ideas, plan group outings, and share in the overall experience of homeschooling! While Calvert supports the development of community between homeschooling families, this list does not constitute affiliation between Calvert Education and the groups represented below.

CONNECTICUT HOMESCHOOL NETWORK (CHN)

CHN is Connecticut’s statewide information and support network. We are an independent, online-based homeschooling organization, which serves to inform, empower, and foster community among home educators in the state of Connecticut.

CONNECTICUT HOMESCHOOLERS’ INCLUSIVE

The goal of Connecticut Homeschoolers’ Inclusive is to connect and support all CT homeschoolers. The Yahoo Message Group is the hub of our activity, allowing homeschoolers across the state to connect to share ideas, methods, events, and support. Our goal is to work cooperatively with all CT homeschool groups and associations large and small, including CHN, Teach, NHELD, Unschoolers, and more. While the majority of our connections will be made online, group members are welcome to schedule gatherings at locations around the state.

TEACH: THE EDUCATION ASSOCIATION OF CHRISTIAN HOMESCHOOLERS

The purpose of TEACH is to further the interests of home education of children by their parents. To accomplish this, TEACH shall provide service and information to homeschooling families and support groups in Connecticut. All sponsored activities and publications will be consistently Christian and dedicated to the honor and glory of God in keeping with the biblical commands of Deuteronomy 6:4–10, Proverbs 22:6, and Ephesians 6:4.

The purpose of TEACH is not to represent, or speak for, all home educators in Connecticut or even all Christian home educators in Connecticut. Nor is TEACH a governing or certifying body for home educators. The focus is to provide information and services to home educators. TEACH will sponsor a variety of activities to accomplish its purpose.
