Florida Homeschool Support Groups

Homeschool support groups in your state are an excellent way to gain more assistance and guidance in your homeschooling endeavors. A regional support group fosters a wonderful sense of community among homeschooling families and allows for more opportunities to exchange ideas, plan group outings, and share in the overall experience of homeschooling! While Calvert supports the development of community among homeschooling families, this list does not constitute affiliation between Calvert Education and the groups represented below.

ARCH ANGELS OF SOUTH FLORIDA

ARCH Angels seeks to promote Catholic family life by providing a support group for families that opt to educate their children at home. It is our firm belief that homeschooling is a vibrant, positive, and challenging educational alternative. Homeschooling allows parents the opportunity to instill the truths of our Catholic faith as the base of knowledge from which all other learning flows.

BROWARD COUNTY HOMESCHOOL PARENT SUPPORT GROUP (PSG)

The purpose of the PSG is to encourage our membership of families to grow and thrive in their respective homeschool environments. We help facilitate our members’ success by providing information and support services while upholding the philosophies of the PSG (which are founded upon traditional biblical Judeo-Christian values as defined by the Old and New Testaments of the Holy Scriptures).

CHRISTIAN HOME EDUCATORS FELLOWSHIP OF FLORIDA (CHEFF)

CHEFF’s goals are to provide homeschool families with information, encouragement, and Christian relationships. CHEFF is for those seeking to communicate and build support networks with other families who share like values. Involvement within the homeschool community is encouraged—whether by sharing news, politics, or homeschool-related issues that may be helpful and pertinent to other families. CHEFF serves to support Christian rights to speak freely without concern of offending those who do not share their Christian beliefs; however, because CHEFF does not represent a particular denomination, we encourage conversations that respect those differences.

FLORIDA COALITION CHRISTIAN PRIVATE SCHOOLS ASSOCIATION (FCCPSA)

FCCPSA was founded and continues to be led by men and women who believe that parents are responsible to direct the education of their children in all areas of life, including academics. Our mission is to encourage and help in the development of the Christian private schools and faith-based child care facilities throughout the state of Florida that partner with those parents on a daily basis.

FPEA exists solely to serve homeschooling families in Florida. The FPEA executes that mission through support for the legal right to homeschool; local school board education and interaction; support group networking; a state convention; local conferences and events; informative communications; and most importantly, by giving individual encouragement.

GULFCOAST HOMESCHOOL ASSOCIATION

Gulfcoast Homeschool Association is an association of families who have chosen to educate their children at home. We meet on a regular basis to discuss homeschooling, share common concerns, and provide fellowship. Member families cooperatively volunteer to organize the association’s educational and social activities. To avoid potential conflicts of ideology, the content of all events will be clearly designated in advance by the individuals responsible for the planning of each event.
This is an inclusive group. We welcome all families regardless of their religious or political views, educational or parenting philosophies, and personal lifestyle choices. We encourage members to focus on similarities and respect differences. We aspire to promote an atmosphere of kindness and tolerance, and we believe that our group is enriched by the diversity of our membership.
