Welcome! Homeschooling is an exciting journey, and we will be with you every step of the way. These resources will help you navigate the state requirements and access local support groups.
The link below may help you with legal questions about homeschooling in your state.
Homeschool support groups in your state are an excellent way to gain more assistance and guidance in your homeschooling endeavors. A regional support group fosters a wonderful sense of community among homeschooling families and allows for more opportunities to exchange ideas, plan group outings, and share in the overall experience of homeschooling! While Calvert supports the development of community among homeschooling families, this list does not constitute affiliation between Calvert Education and the groups represented below.
HOME’s mission and purpose is to further the interests of the education of children by their parents by all lawful means, including, but not limited to, supporting and assisting families who are educating their own children, disseminating legislative and other information affecting the rights of parents to direct the education and upbringing of their children, and participating in and sponsoring conventions and educational seminars for teaching parents.
Maine Unschooling Network is a secular blog serving Maine unschoolers. This blog serves several purposes: to give the Maine Unschooling Network’s Facebook group a Web home, to provide a place for community and calendar of events, to provide support and discussion, and to provide a platform to those who would like to share their perspectives on unschooling in Maine, who may not otherwise do so in a public forum. This is not an Unschooling 101 group. New to unschooling folks are welcome, but the work of understanding and embracing unschooling is an individual’s responsibility, and not that of the group.
This blog is welcoming and supportive of unschoolers of all ages, small children, teens, parents, grown unschoolers, parents of grown unschoolers, newbie unschoolers, family, and unschooling allies.
Training, Education, and Accountability in Christian Homes (T.E.A.C.H.) is a homeschool group serving York County and beyond. We meet the first Tuesday of each month (September through May, excluding December) in the Fellowship Hall of the South Waterboro Bible Chapel. Please be sure to check our calendar and newsletter for details of coming events, meetings, and workshops.
