New Mexico Homeschool Support Groups

Homeschool support groups in your state are an excellent way to gain more assistance and guidance in your homeschooling endeavors. A regional support group fosters a wonderful sense of community among homeschooling families and allows for more opportunities to exchange ideas, plan group outings, and share in the overall experience of homeschooling! While Calvert supports the development of community among homeschooling families, this list does not constitute affiliation between Calvert Education and the groups represented below.

CAPE-NM is dedicated to serving God by providing biblical encouragement and information on homeschool law and resources to interested parents, legislators, and officials. CAPE is an incorporated 501c3 organization, directed by a board subscribing to a Christian statement of faith. CAPE’s purpose is to minister to, to encourage, and to inform the entire homeschool community, regardless of religion.

LAHE is a loosely connected group of homeschooling families in Los Alamos and the surrounding area. While LAHE is primarily a Christian group, we are also a community of inclusion. People of all faiths are welcome to participate. We are all required to be respectful in our interactions with each other. If you are Christian, remember you are an ambassador of your faith. If you are not Christian, please keep in mind that this is a Christian group. Classes offered through LAHE are not required to be primarily Christian in focus, but should not be in opposition to the Christian faith.
