West Virginia Homeschool Support Groups

Homeschool support groups in your state are an excellent way to gain more assistance and guidance in your homeschooling endeavors. A regional support group fosters a wonderful sense of community among homeschooling families and allows for more opportunities to exchange ideas, plan group outings, and share in the overall experience of homeschooling! While Calvert supports the development of community among homeschooling families, this list does not constitute affiliation between Calvert Education and the groups represented below.

CHRISTIAN HOME EDUCATORS OF JACKSON COUNTY

This is a member-run group ministering to the needs of veteran and new homeschoolers alike. Our goal is that member families will continue to encourage each other as God directs the education of our children through information sharing, field trips, cooperative learning opportunities, monthly meetings, yearly evaluation, etc.

TRI-STATE HOMESCHOOLERS

Tri-State Homeschoolers has been providing support, information, and activities for homeschoolers in the Greater Huntington area since 1983. We are an inclusive group. We welcome all homeschoolers regardless of your faith, national origin, and homeschooling or unschooling style. We are a goup of families with the common goals of giving our children a quality education, providing them with activities that are fun and educational, and giving them the opportunity to develop long-lasting friendships.

WEST VIRGINIA HOME EDUCATORS ASSOCIATION (WVHEA)

WVHEA was founded in 1986 to assist homeschooling families. WVHEA is open to everyone, regardless of religion, personal beliefs, or educational philosophy. It is a nonprofit organization run by volunteers—homeschooling parents who fit their work for WVHEA around the needs of their families.
