Welcome! Homeschooling is an exciting journey, and we will be with you every step of the way. These resources will help you navigate the state requirements and access local support groups.

Georgia Department Of Education
Homeschool support groups in your state are an excellent way to gain more assistance and guidance in your homeschooling endeavors. A regional support group fosters a wonderful sense of community among homeschooling families and allows for more opportunities to exchange ideas, plan group outings, and share in the overall experience of homeschooling! While Calvert supports the development of community among homeschooling families, this list does not constitute affiliation between Calvert Education and the groups represented below.
ATLANTA ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION NETWORK
We are a not-for-profit cooperative support group of homeschoolers and other educators interested in exploring alternatives to public/private schools. We are concerned about the state of our educational system today, and we are committed to involve ourselves in the education of our children to help ensure a future that matches our hopes and visions. As an organization, we have no religious affiliation and welcome people of all belief systems, ethnic backgrounds, educational styles, and ages. We seek diversity for the educational experience it is.
CENTRAL GEORGIA CHRISTIAN HOME EDUCATORS (CGCHE)
CGCHE is an organization of families dedicated to observing the biblical commands of Deuteronomy 6:4–9: Proverbs 22:6, and Ephesians 6:4. CGCHE promotes home education. CGCHE is not a church nor is this organization meant to replace the ministry of the local church.
CENTRAL SAVANNAH RIVER AREA HOME EDUCATION ASSOCIATION (CSRA HEA)
The mission of CSRA HEA is to provide resources to homeschooling parents. The organization hopes that this website will promote study of all aspects of God, His creation, His laws, and His grace.
We have many members in both Georgia and South Carolina, and we welcome you, whether you are new to homeschooling or an experienced homeschooler moving into the area. The CSRA is the area surrounding Augusta, GA.
HOME EDUCATION INFORMATION RESOURCE (HEIR)
Established in March of 1997, HEIR is a statewide, nonpartisan, nonsectarian, volunteer-only organization working to ensure that the people of Georgia and their government recognize home study, freely practiced in its diverse forms, as a legitimate choice and value it as a positive force for improving the quality of education. HEIR operates fully as an all-volunteer organization composed of caring homeschool parents who donate their time and resources. We monitor the Georgia General Assembly from start to finish every year and network with legislators and policymakers throughout the state all year long to protect homeschool freedom in Georgia.
HEIR is a one-issue group. We exist to further the interests of home educators in the state of Georgia. HEIR collects and disseminates information freely in order to help unite and, if necessary, mobilize the entire home education community of Georgia. We believe heartily in the right and duty of each citizen to participate in his own government, and to that end, a great deal of our energy is spent teaching other home educators effective ways to have their voices heard.
PARENTS EDUCATING ACHIEVERS IN RIGHTEOUSNESS AND LEADERSHIP (P.E.A.R.L)
P.E.A.R.L. is a Christian homeschooling support group based in the general Rockdale, Newton, and Henry County areas of Georgia. We are a homeschool support group with an emphasis on support.
