Congratulations to our 2018 Calvert Academy High School Graduates!

Our 2018 Calvert Academy Graduates, who were able to attend the commencement ceremony in person; Calvert staff and faculty; Calvert CEO Steve Gross; Meghan McGee, Camden Partners; and Dr. Nancy Grasmick, Calvert Education Board of Directors.

On Friday, June 15, we had the pleasure of honoring Calvert Academy High School graduates from around the world. Accepted to more than 25 universities in the U.S. and abroad, with many full and partial merit scholarships, these graduates have bright futures ahead.

In the words of Calvert CEO Steve Gross, “You’ve charted a different path for yourselves. That’s a hallmark of true leaders – creating a path to achieve goals in a way that doesn’t follow the herd. A way that reflects your beliefs. A way that works for unique circumstances. Frankly, you are an inspiration. Not just to your families, and to the educators at Calvert, but to the broader community.”

As families celebrated the achievements of their students, the students themselves were able to meet their classmates, face-to-face, for the first time. The theme of this year’s commencement exercise was “Giving Back to the World Around You”.

“You have dared to be different. You have embarked on an unconventional, innovative educational path. And to paraphrase Robert Frost, you took the road less traveled and that has made all of the difference.”

— Dr. Nancy Grasmick, Calvert Education Board of Directors, addressing the Calvert Academy homeschool graduates
